Our Story
In 2015, a group known as Engage Henderson saw a need in our community and refused to stop until there was a place in the neighborhood where kids and families felt welcome and loved. Audubon Kids Zone (AKZ) was born out of this vision to restore opportunities for kids and families living in the East End. AKZ works to connect families, schools, and the broader community, ensuring that every child, regardless of their circumstances, has access to the resources and support they need to find their passion and achieve their goals. AKZ received 501©(3) status in 2015 and began working with families and kids in the East End.
AKZ exists to fuel generational change through advocacy, education, and relationships that uplift families!
